If you are all for openness, then you would be demanding that Heinz open her tax returns.

It is not about openness. It is about respecting the right to privacy of the children with whom she holds the fortune. The children are adults and hence they have their rights. Even Kerry respects that bond between Teresa and her children from her previous marriage.

Are we, as a society have degenerated to such a screwy level under Bush that we are not expected to respect the rights of individuals and also of widows who have faced a tragedy of loosing her husband in a plane crash. Do you want me to take you to the days of what her reaction was when Kerry first announced his candidacy?
