Basically, unless they are exceptionally smart and lucky and can get scholarship from universities, the only way for most young people who live in small town in the US to get out the poverty is to join the army, sadly. Very astute observation, Yiwu. People in rural areas of the U.S are so impoverished that they are reduced to eating road kill and waste grain from the fields. You can travel all the way from Fargo to Butte and hardly find a single person making over $10K a year. Most cannot get a government permit to work in the cities, and they can't tele-commute because of the government stranglehold on the Internet. It's sad.
