One thing in Micron's favor is that I have seen plenty of people switch from Dells to Microns as they become more knowledgeable about PC's, but I have never once witnessed a Micron-owner switching to a Dell machine.

Dell is growing very rapidly right now because it is taking business away from AST and Packard Bell, because people are realizing they don't have to buy at Sam's Club and Circuit City, and Dell or Gateway is the first mail-order they hear of.

As time passes, Micron will keep its niche as a premium maker of quality machines, and more and more will switch every time they win another award for most dependable or fastest computer. I feel that, in the end, the cream will indeed rise to the top. It's not like we're investing in the Panda Project here..
