Peter is also a part of the New Testament and what he said is that, you know, "we have not devised cunning tales in making known unto you the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His glory." Okay? Does this kind of stuff count when Peter just says in black and white, "Hey! We were eyewitnesses."

You see....its always seemed strange to me all this time of arguments and apologies for Jesus's & the Christness of Christians or lack thereof , with even an ardent neo-believer such as yourself, that you should not give 'ol Peter the "Rock" , and the Fisher~of~man more air time ....but imo , you should .

maybe like Jesus , his message was just so simple sans miracles and fable fire and brimstone , as to be ignored ?

Let's just try and -->accentuate the positive in the here
and now
....not the imaginary hereafter ?

( Leave mysticism to the mystics and be so pragmatic as to allow for tollerance of the "best ideas" that can be agreed upon (and humanists have generated some of the greatest ideas ). And once again sans miracles , fables, chosen ones and religious dogmatic exclusivity.)
