Its hard to imagine that the CIA would have such a naive view of events in New Mexico. If something is publicized at a university in New Mexico, you would have to assume that at least some foreign intelligence agency knows about it.

You're correct. Even without the press coverage, you've got thousands of students that could be pumping out e-mails or posting to public threads about the event. And it seems reasonable to expect out of 3 universities there would be someone who has some loose connection to a foreign intelligence agency or terrorist organization.

If they were really worried that much, they shouldn't have set up the speaking tour in the first place.
