the UAW has been doing everything humanly possible to stay alive and at the same time appear to be relevant and meaningful to the membership.... their bottom line is self preservation not protecting jobs and the membership. the membership sees it as "better than nothing or the alternatives" the membership is half today of what it was in the 1950s.... if we want more jobs then we have to have meaningful legislation to defense "offshoring" regards...Chuck
