VAUGHN,

Could you please define what you mean by "bullseye targets." Does that mean they think there's a greater chance of hitting a pipe than the average drill hole? I never heard that expression before. If so, is their assurance based on geophysics, or what? Did Diamet have "bullseye" targets that turned out to be diamondiferous kimberlite?

My limited understanding of Snap Lake and Back Lake is that the mineral train goes to the Camsell Lake property and that there is much less likelihood of pipes on the SUF property. I own both stocks, so I'd be pleased as punch if both SUF and WSP hit pipes, but what have you heard about the geology of Back Lake?

About Alberta, I spoke with Pattick Powers of Montello last week, and he indicated that they had rejected a JV offer from Ashton, and that Ashton was likely to announce positive results from their drilling samples, which is probably why he rejected their offer which was, if I recall correctly, something like $50,000 up front, $7 mil in exploration, and Ashton gets 70%. He's either a good bullshitter, or there's something there. I think I'll hang on to my MEO shares for a couple weeks and see how it plays out.

From everything I've read and heard about Aber, I think you're way off on your analysis of them. It seems to me that they're very undervalued and that they won't have that much trouble working out the engineering. As for political and legal problems, Aber stands to produce about 5% of the world's diamonds, if I heard right, and I think it's in Canada's and NWT's best interest to see that they get the mine going.

Hi Vaughn,

Caught me lurking again! I don't know the market cap of DeBeers, but if SUF is worth $500/sh., maybe Chris and co. should take over DeBeers.
Out of curiosity, what do you like besides SUF for risk/reward ?

Vaughn,

Thanks for sharing your picks. It made me think of that pompous little "expert" and former partner of George Soros, Jim Rogers, who has been recommending that everyone short DeBeers for the last 2 or three years in Barrons. Short diamonds, he says. What's interesting is that in an interview with him in the book Market Wizards, he told the interviewer that he couldn't think of any mistake he had made in years in investing. I wonder how much he's lost my shorting DeBeers so far. Ah, experts!

As to seasonality, I see from the John Hainey, Eagle "Seasonality of Diamond Stocks" report that we're near the time of year when it's been a good idea to bail from diamond stocks. You think the summer drill program at Snap Lake for Aber and WSP will change that scenario? Is there a specific month you usually take your money out of diamond stocks?

**OFF TOPIC ***

Vaughn,

I was just thinking of you over at WSP. I had a question about VD. Ooops, let me rephrase that.. I have a question about visible diamonds in drill core. His Holiness Bob Bishop has declared that each time VD was discovered in drill cores that a rich pipe and mine has been the result. Do you know is this is true? If so, are we talking just a couple incidents, or many? One of BB's newer (I think) reasons for owning WSP is this VD relationship. If this isn't true, than a pox upon him. But if it is statistically significant, than WSP folks have another think to hang their hat on.

So on and so on.......
