The US has stated that it will have the largest "embassy" in the world in Iraq. 3000 people strong (well, hiding under their desks clutching their hazard paychecks mostly). Why does the small country of Iraq require so much "diplomacy"?

Obviously, the "embassy" is actually the "government" of Iraq. The US has pulled out of 60 bases around Baghdad and is concentrating in the burbs. This leaves fewer American faces on the street but probably more lawlessness (whatever the law is there today) given the state of the Iraqi police force.

The problem with the American Public is the lack of propaganda for the truth. This is actually getting worse because American media folk are too frightened to go out anywhere. I suspect all media folk are too frightened to travel around much so who knows what the heck is really going on.

Now if some desperate TV producer would start an Iraqi reality TV show, the American Public might start to pay some attention.
