Nah, it's easy, lots of people have done it. The charge is not that Woodward prints false stuff, but rather that high officials wishing to justify themselves tell Woodward their side of the story, and he prints it for them without asking too many awkward questions, thus giving credibility to what is often a very self-serving account. That's how Woodward gets access to the next guy with a story to tell. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, know what I mean?
