DOM: EBIDTA is a common analytical tool for reoccuring revenue businesses. You'll see it used extensively about cable TV companies, which are very similar from a structural standpoint. Because they are so capital intensive, some very sound underlying business fundementals can be completely hidden by a company's debt service or write-offs. Secondly, DISH holds the largest amount of spectrum of any domestic DBS venture. In addition to their 19 frequencies at 119 degrees, they have 32 at 61 1/2 degrees and more over the pacific as well. Even if their business were a bust, the value of their slots and their existing space assets makes this a very sercure investment. Hope this helps! NPD
