The Islamic Empire still existed while Europe was in the ascendant. The Islamic Empire did not begin to fall apart until the 19th century during the time of the Byzantines. By WW I, it had mostly fallen apart.
Mere existence of the Islamic Empire is simply not the issue. Cultural development is. It is not to be doubted at all that once Europe overcame its Dark Age, it retook the reigns of world leadership, which is why you now speak here in English and not in savage Arabic.

hehe. What you have just done here is support my point. You have claimed that because there are so many muslims, there are so many religiously inspired murders. Undoubtedly this is true. The savage religion behind these murders needs to be destroyed or altered. There are even more Christians than muslims in the world and never in the history of Christianity has there been the sort of worldwide terrorism we are seeing in Islam. Even the few relatively minor episodes of Christian savagery were ended, in every single case, by Christians themselves. That ought to tell you something about Islam.
You need to read up on what exactly Israel is doing. The Israelis are not the innocents you're trying to portray. In fact, they are anything but ignorant. What they do have is a great marketing program and an incredible lobby in Washington.
