Oil stopped flowing from Iraq a decade ago. It's no big deal. A price rise would soon adjust for the complete loss of Iraqi supplies. There's lots of coal, gas, nuclear, photovoltaic, agricultural, wind and other energy supplies to satisfy everyone. Not to mention insulation, warmer clothing and cyberspace instead of roadspace or airspace, as alternatives to burning more fuel.

Oil as a percentage of the world's GDP has shriveled over the decades. As a percentage of the USA's it's down dramatically too. Oil is a has-been. Oil was good to me, but I get no respect from the young guys now - they are into cyberspace. They don't even know where a dipstick is.
