Right on! What exactly do Republicans stand for anyway, besides promoting the interests of big business and making money at all costs?!? They certainly don't stand for those suppossedly conservative cornerstone principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility. Notice how "conservatives" rarely ever invoke these principles in their arguements any more. Why? Because they know their party hasn't upheld these principles, and if anything has done the exact opposite in recent years. Republicans certainly don't stand for states rights either, with their attacks on state medical marijuana and euthanasia laws prove that they couldn't give a rats ass about states rights. The only two priciples that I find consistent coming from the Republicans these days are American economic and military imperialism/hemogeny and the furtherance of big business interests over all other considerations. Medical Marijuana for example, who benefits from keeping it off the market? Big drug companies who want to sell pain killers and the alcohol industry that doesn't want any competition for its mind bending and life destroying products.
