<Alan Greenspan is ruining the US economy--but he has accelerated BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China)..>

Unintended consequences I'm sure.

I have a real bright college age son (about to graduate) who is real big into the third world development issues. I've run this stimulus theory by him, and he says most 3W or even emerging countries can't take much advantage of the opportunity because of huge capital, infrastructure, and stability constraints. He thinks it's mostly just the elite in the BRIC and elsewhere that gets any benefit. To his mind, running the world's resources off the cliff to benefit a group of cronies, is not wise global economic policy. I've come to agree.
