Don't think we want to confuse the power Brokering shell game of Enron with oil prices too much, though there may be some crossover.

Oil companies have been fined in the past for illegal price fixing. The price per barrel is way above what it costs to produce it...meaning producers are making good money right now. You have speculators running up the cost of a barrel too. I mean what if a jihad breaks out over the entire ME? Then what happens to oil prices?

Problem is this administration has already lied it's credibility away. Now even republicans will have to hold their noses to vote Bush. They know of the deceit, but they still believe the rhetoric that Bush is the Terror President. Ha...before 9-11 Bush's terror program was same as Clinton's. They were going to remain on the same course, and worse turned their heads away from terrorists to do missile defense etc. This while Tenet's hair was on fire...and Bush goes to Crawford to relax.
