That's surprisingly low given the ramp that was occurring. Do you have any idea what's causing the stall.

I think the problems are two-fold.

1) Fundamentally, I dont think that network coverage is very good. I'm not sure that I have ever read a positive review of Reliance's coverage. I guess we should have expected this considering how quickly they managed to get the network running.

2) Reliance is no longer a real price leader. I havent looked at the exact numbers but a couple of articles commented on the fact that the prepay offer that Reliance debuted with wasnt much different than GSM offers.

As long as Reliance was substantially cheaper than the competition, the network coverage didnt matter.....but I think it has probably come into play this quarter.

One other short-term factor....I have a feeling that Reliance was a victim of some fraud due to the bargain handset prices. Perhaps they are using this opportunity to cleanse some of those non-paying subs of their books?
