Your claim is that Europe consisted of essential savages who were 'pissing in their pants' while Islam was a bastion of learning and civility. It is a false claim because Europe had a very long and well established history of cultural development stretching far into antiquity, long before Islam raised its filthy head. Consider trying a bit of integrity, just for a change.

Byzantium up to your 1200A.D. did not consist of essential savages, but was a very highly developed civilization and had been a very highly developed civilization long before and even during the muslim conquest. Even so, in virtually all significant cases of wrongdoing in the history of humankind since the emergence of Christianity, Christians have been involved in ultimately seeking and employing solutions. This includes the Crusades, the Inquisition and the wholesale murders that helped take Russia. Christians have always defended life, even when they had to do it against other so called Christians. That is just not true of Islam. Muslims murder constantly, with no significant Islamic outcry at all. You simply cannot find that in Christian history. Muslims are actually murdering other muslims right now in Africa and it is Christians who are launching the outcry.
