There was one man named Jesus who was from Nazareth and who died on a roman cross and who rose again from the dead, That's the one we're talking about. That's the one the Apostles wrote about. actually there was always a "Messiah" , and he is the one the prophets wrote about as well centuries upon centuries earlier .... i am not confused . Or perhaps you didn't read what was just posted you of Isaiah's prophecy ? Message 20040554 An image of what the Messiah would be and the prophecy of what the Messiah would do, what signs and miracles "He" would wrought was already inculcated deeply into the fabric of the "expectant" legend and belief from long times before , and there was also the Essene mystics who removed themselves out into the deserts to seek accord with "God" away from the chaos of the city in that very time . I see no evidence of one from Nazereth at all , do you ? The story of the Messiah was always deeply present then and dfrom before , so the creation or appearance of one and many was always there, and they did keep reappearing and reappearing . Many an idealistic youth seeking to challenge authority and do God and Tribe's work in the process. There always have been more than one named Jesus that was crucified by the romans in that time for being deemed troublesome , even one that was not from Nazereth that had begun a pacifist movement in the north . The romans took very little note of these deaths and punishments ,for they were so numerous in that time and area...and these saviors were always being looked for and surfacing in many forms among the various tribes all over the semite world in fact down to Mohammed . But that you "believe" in "one" is all that matters ? Others have their God and Messiahs just as your belief does . Keep adapting.
