After posting that plea from India, I was thinking about why India cannot get off the ground like China has. The country is really run by the Indian elite, who have British educations and outlooks. They are still wrapped up in an anti-capitalist mentality.

The Chinese never had that problem. Once it was OK to graft capitalism on to their system, they jumped at it.
