"The other is reflective, willing to change his mind and willing to admit he has made mistakes." What you need to decide is if the one above is able to make up his mind and keep it that way. Especially if the winds the directed the decision start to change. Your observation if it were the only point would be true. Unfortunately this is a far more complicated situation - and kerry has done little to show principled leadership.
