Hi IQBAL LATIF; Re: "... will your next monthly update report on Fallujah include your nonsense on 3000-50 murderer apology also?"
I make no apology for that. I'm merely pointing out that if you give enough young men guns, you're going to end up with problems. Another one happened today when US forces killed two employees of the Iraqi news agency that the US created in order to give the US side of the news to the Iraqi people. Here's the latest:
... Al Iraqiya television station, financed by the United States government, reported that a correspondent, Asaad Kadhim, and his driver, Hussein Saleh, were killed and a cameraman, Bassem Kamel, was wounded in Samarra when "American forces opened fire on them while they were performing their duty." ... nytimes.com
... The station, which is funded by the Pentagon (news - web sites), interrupted its broadcasts to announce the deaths and showed photos of Kadhim. It then began airing only Koranic texts as a symbol of mourning. ... story.news.yahoo.com
The basic problem with war is that it is a dirty business and there will be mistakes made. The killing of the above two journalists is a mistake. Not every soldier makes this mistake, but when it happens, it hurts the image of the US in occupied Iraq.
Mistakes are inevitable not just in war, but in every business. The problem is that when the military makes a mistake in an occupation, it tends to alienate the locals against us. When I made the 3000/50 comment, I was showing how difficult the job of the US in avoiding the mistake of giving a gun to someone who should be in prison.
And you want to know something? Most guys in the military are the top of society and are people who we should look up to. Especially a loser like you. But there are always going to be mistakes, people who make it into even top notch outfits that just don't belong there. US history is replete with mistakes of this nature. Hell, one of the snipers who terrorized Washington DC this past summer was trained by the US military.
