The Mission is a pretty dark movie. I classify it with At Play in the Fields of the Lord, and The Mosquito Coast, and there are a bunch of Herzog movies it that it sort of reminds me of- including Fitzacaraldo and Aguirre the Wrath of God.

I'm glad you had a good time in Peru. I bet it was nice to get home.
