You should give a benefit of the doubt. In many cases people see what they want to see when they look into "semantic sophistries".

Does that mean there are no hidden agendas? no. I am suspicious of everyone, but I also try to remain hopeful as well. Hatred and bigotry are pervasive things, and can be found everywhere- a nuanced view, though, is always helpful in sustaining hope (again, just my opinion.)

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk to you about this. Though I think we come at this differently, I appreciate your time.
