The inspections were going fine when Bushies stopped them.
You should know this. It's a simple fact. They were even being given access to the palaces. Yes the Iraqis were obnoxious and couldn't be trusted but what else is new? We still cannot trust any Iraqis, even the ones who are on our side.

The point is, the rush to war turned out to be a collosal embarrassing blunder and/or evidence of a corrupt oil and power-grab. Either way you look at it, US tax-payers and troops lose. Saddam loses too, but Saddam could have been dealt with in a variety of ways other than occupying a country the size of California with open hostile borders on all sides. The worst Bush mistake was no post-war plan. Let's wait and see what happens on June 30th. So far, no plan.
