Maybe part of me is just naive and doesnt want to believe the horrors that await us from these bastards ~~ Michael, you have already seen some of that horror, as you were in NYC that 9-11 day.
While most of us weren't there to smell the smoke, and death, and destruction of that day, and the months that followed, in another way, we were all there...24/7 via TV on every minute of that time.
It is human to try to turn away from something that is so vile and repugnant to our way of life....but I feel we MUST NOT turn away. We MUST face this with courage and conviction, or otherwise we will doom our children, and their children for as long as we can think about, to a life that is not at all like the one we have known.
We either face facts, as they are, and not as we wish them to be, or we too, will be living in the 7th century with the sand and camels. |
