I'm not convinced that France Germany and Russia made their decisions based on money alone. Personally I thought Iraq was not an imminent threat and was not a part of the war on terror. I have written about putting pressure on Saddam, build a coalition...but finish the job in Afghanistan first and foremost. This administration let me and the families of 3,000 victims of 9-11 down.

I'm convinced that Bush had some sort of personal grudge with Saddam. And yes he is a bad man, but so are so many other despots. It was personal...and it was about the oil. But it was not imminent and it was not connected to 9-11. I have been writing about this on SI for two years.

I recognized early on that we were getting ourselves into a corner. No exit plan was ever discussed by Bush...and it still hasn't been discussed...save for the toss over to the irrelevant UN to take over.
