Jon: I think you are being overly pessimistic. Java is awesome. Look at this article: computerworld.com, looks like SUNW is bringing MSFT down a few notches again with this baby. This Bill Joy just blows everyone from MSFT away in the innovation arena. Looks like a good opportunity for someone to unseat MSFT on the lower ends as this mega-InterNet machine will most assuredly require reliability which MSFT is legion for not providing. FOR YOU MSFT GUYS, I KNOW YOU HAVE MADE A LOT OF MONEY ON MSFT STOCK, BUT PLEASE DON'T TRY AND BULLSH*T US INTO THINKING THAT MSFT PUTS OUT QUALITY PRODUCTS, THEY DON'T AND THIS IS MOST ASSUREDLY THEIR ULTIMATE ACHILLES HEAL (SORT OF LIKE MANIC GREED AT THE EXPENSE OF PRODUCT QUALITY). Are you guys in denial. Gilder's pronostications are happening right before our eyes and we still have people telling us that Java is not a big deal. The truth is, it is a big deal, and SUNW will reap tremendous profits from it. And, best of all, we will also profit by not being controlled by a company dead set on maniacal profit motives while sacrificing product quality.
