So how come they hate us????
They don't hate us... after more than 30 years of brutal rule, they really don't know what freedom is, much like a wild horse that gets out of the barn... and the insurgents from the surrounding countries are causing much of the trouble... realize, those who do hate us are the ones who see the West as a threat to their deep religious views, and the media only shows you the bad news, after all, that's what sells newspapers...
Look at this from the longer term perspective...
1000 years ago, when Europe was in the dark ages, the islamic world was building magnificent temples and mosques... they thrived as a culture and believed themselves to be the chosen people... they had all the proof they needed to support their beliefs because the rest of the world, as they knew it, was covered in darkness and ignorance...
Today, 1000 years later, the islamic world hasn't changed... Europe has grown up around them, and the West, especially the United States, has emerged as the wealthiest and most powerful nation in the world...
This is a very major threat and a fatal blow to their total sense of who they believe they are and their role and mission in the world... this is a threat, a huge assault, to their religious and spiritual beliefs about their chosen status...
The very fact the United States exists and thrives is evidence in their eyes that they're not "the chosen ones," and now for them to maintain their long held beliefs, the entire Western world must be removed... much the way the church saw Galileo's views as a threat to the church at the time...
This is nothing new, the islamic viewpoint emerges every now and then... this is why islamic fundamentalists hate us, we represent a clear and present danger to their entire social and religious fabric and justification for being...
where the Iraqi government is getting all that money
The Iraqi government is now using the money they receive from oil sales, this is the money sadam insane was hoarding for himself before... now, the people of Iraq are benefiting...
