I am familiar with patent litigation and frequently speculate on small companies in patent litigation. yes, I own GIFT. I won't say how much I own, but I paid under $1.00 for it. I still think it is a good stock to own. By good I mean the price I'd expect if GIFT wins, multiplied by the likelihood of winning. With a jury involved no case is more than an 80% bet in my mind (and that requires great facts and better lawyers), or less than a 20% bet. Remember the OJ trial. This is certainly less than a great case, but still pretty uncertain.
The upside is hard to predict, but settlements last year caused a $10.00/share price. A settlement this year should be similar. A win would be higher.

I expect the stock to go up when GIFT wins at trial or settles. A partial run-up should occur after the Markman hearing if GIFt prevails.

I haven't spoken with Fink. Nor do i want to (avoid any possibility of insider info).

See my next post for my brief analysis.
