You betcha!. And I don't think that any reasonable person would disagree with that (We all say competition is good). However Steve was refering to the K6 in this context, and the K6 doesn't cut the mustard, (In a niche product maybe, but steve was suggesting differently with his volume K6's)

Steve's bias towards such a comment, should also be considered, since he claims to trade AMD actively.

Endangering provider/customer relationships and its future, is not something a company of CPQ's stature would be willing to risk for a marginal (at best) advantage in the price marketplace.
