I owned compaq before it was public, I starting working at cpq and was hired by Darly White in 1983. I got a wad of cpq stk options , I put my 401k 100% in cpq stk and I told cpq to do a 100% match of my 401k every month in cpq stk. When I got extra cash I put it in cpq stk like at 1000 share chunks. I was laughed at by even cpq employees and especially brokers and alike for all eggs in one basket. so, I guess i get the last laugh and it's a good one. I have a cousin that got the lowest job at cpq and he started right after me. just his options are worth 500,000. and this was a $5/hr stock clerk job. all on long term view
