Father Blames President For Son's Death In Iraq Man To Be Buried With Full Military Honors POSTED: 12:54 pm EDT April 21, 2004 WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The father of a Florida soldier who died in Iraq says President George W. Bush is to blame for his son's death. Army Staff Sgt. Raymond Jones Jr. died April 9 when he was hit by a rocket- propelled grenade near Baghdad. Raymond Jones Sr. said he thinks his son's reasons for being sent to fight the war were not valid. "In my opinion, we don't belong there," Jones said. "We were misled to get there, lied to. If the public lied to the government the way the government lied to the public, (the government) would probably put (the public) in jail." Jones will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. thewpbfchannel.com
