No, I do not beleive that Sun can change the computing model. I beleive that there
will be isolated areas that will move toward Java, and there is a possibility (I give it
50/50) that Java will eventually (5-10 years) become the predominent computing
model. <<<<

When an array of Java chips come on next year, you'll
began to see the flood of Java applications and the solidification
of Java standard at an unprecedented speed. Workstations based
on the Java chip will become the de facto reference platform.
This would obviate the question and clarify the confusion of
the various versions of Java JVM, class library ... etc.
out there. If it doesn't run these Java machines, it ain't Java.
That is the magic bullet.

If the introduction of the Java chips based workstation
does not clarify the Java platform confusion within 1-2 years,
then something is seriously wrong.
