We claimed we couldn't listen to a surrender offer because it included the emperor staying on his throne. Yet, we left him on his throne. And then to make a complete mockery of the original claim, we say that we had to bomb Hiroshima because the emperor was the good guy who was not powerful enough to keep the bad guys in check.
