I still think it would be political suicide to bring back the draft. It's certainly the fair way to put our nation's young men and women in harm's way, though- but only if there are no deferments, and no preferences. Strictly lottery- and let those big mouths in the house and senate pony up their kids to go fight the war they are allowing to continue.

Saddam was apparently not part of 9/11
Saddam had no WMD's and wasn't a threat to anyone but the Israelis, and not even a huge threat to them
we invade Iraq even though Al Q is everywhere else but Iraq, on the pretext that Iraq is a threat and 9/11 changed everything (like the rules of logic, perhaps?)

Now we need a draft to keep fighting a war we shouldn't have started in the first place?

If things get any stupider in this country people are going to de-evolve back into monkeys- although that might be an insult to monkeys.
