You said that the settlements were growing in size. I don't think this is true, and you have not shown any evidence to the contrary. The footprint of the major settlements is quite limited, and the building is going on inside them. They are some exceptions, but not much.

It's the land that's at issue.

But they were supposed to be chips, not ultimatums.


So they were...but the other side chose war over negotiations.

This is what I mean... you're playing "tit for tat" and trying to get "one up" on the Palestinians. That's a sure recipe for continued hatred and war

There's a war on. Nobody on the Pal side wants to end it, certainly not while Arafat lives. Do you think Israel would obtain any advantage by unilateral concessions? You are kidding yourself.
