In both acts, the media utterly misunderstands the humanity of the American soldier, who frequently puts himself in harms way to avoid civilian casualties.

It might be appropriate for we citizens, to ask ALL of the media, print and TV, just how many of them have actually been in the military and/or how many of them have ever been assigned to a military unit or group (like Ernie Pyle was)...

At the very least, Robert Alt seems to have a good sense of respect for the military men and women, and what they do, and why.
