"Steve still looks like the man for the jobs":

theage.com.au

Summarized as follows:

- Rhapsody will intorduce "a new revolution in human interface";

- The first developer release of Rhapsody is due very soon (end of
September) and Apple has already begun to draw developers into
Rhaposdy orbit by offering free information, training and support;

- Some of proposed items may not make it into the first release, but
the gurus reckon that if only half of what is planned becomes
reality, Rhapsody will be a revolution;

- Rhaposdy is a cross-platform OS, easily ported from Mac to Unix.
Some suggest that it was this that really grabbed the attention of
Bill Gates. Rhaposdy for Wintel could be more powerful and flexible
than Window NT, upon which Microsoft's future is based;

- Apple employees contemplated this and concluded it was no longer
necessary to ask who was to be chairman and CEO of Apple. The Jobs
had been filled.
