Maybe i'll care enough to respond in more detail later, but for now I have a 5 hour drive to get done, and after reading part of your reply i'd say, try to stick with what I actually said, not what you think or wish I had said. And gee just right off, just because a person can list multiples things wrong with a business doesn't mean it's going to succeed, lolol, how stoopid. See many record stores around? Me either, because Wal Mart and Best Buy got into the biz. They didn't get rich on it either, it's a loss leader for them, something to get you in the store. For all I know that's the way Wal Mart is viewing this as well. They have to do something to get their floundering website going. And just because they haven't pushed it much yet doesn't mean they won't. They're not often the first with the most to a niche market, but once they get rolling they get their share of wherever they compete. Just for one example of you not being able to read my posts without coloring it excessively, I refferred to the high turnover customer as more than likely tech savvy. Able to take a DVD, rip it to a computer, and then send it back out the same day. You turned that into me saying the avg netflix customer was that way.
I'm a Netflix person because I was with them before there was a Wal Mart, and the selection is better, more obscure stuff, and mainly because I tend to stick with the originator longer than most people because I can afford to pay a little more. But at some point I and the rest of the world always switches to the much cheaper, slightly worse Wal Mart way. For me that point will be from this 10% price increase, it makes it at least worth giving Wal Mart a try. I think it's within the realm of possibility that if Netflix loses very many subs, they will send out some kind of try us again offer at a discount, which unless it is very good, i will turn down, and simply sign up under another name and another address, so I can get all the stuff that's very long wait, on my high churn account, since they seem to give the harder to get titles to the newer less active accounts.(great strategy, lol, way to reward the loyal customer). |
