The john boat is fine even as your primary motor on a pond that size.

Rubber worm fishing is not hard to learn at all. You just have to remember thar you have to set the hook as it is hidden in the worm to make it weedless. Also it is not a cast it out and reel it in type of of fishing. You try to cast towards cover and let it sink. If it hasn't been hit by then you give the worm a little motion but always keep a little slack in your line. When a bass picks it up he will start to run with it. Just about the time you run out of slack set the hook HARD. Remember you are going through the worm and the fish as well. Once you get used to it you will love it.
