Funny that all the hardware companies touched by the NT "gold"
magic seem to be doing soooo well (outside from the commodity "sheet metal benders" (Compaq, Dell, etc).

Look at non-commodity vendors:
- DEC doing worst than expected (still makes much more money out of UNIX than NT, infact more than VMS+NT)
- HP doing worst than expected (just as it started talking NT ...)
- Tandem not going anywhere
- Intergraph mostly a no-op

You have to be able to make some money and if you are just a commodity supplier, then you will be thrown out the window at any point. NT is compelling if the industry is willing to give Microsoft all the high margins and the hardware vendors be satisfied putting Intel motherboards into their boxes....
