We pay well north of $3.00/gallon for gas when defense costs are factored in (perhaps $4.00+ with this whole mess we've gotten into in Iraq). Eventually we're going to have to kick our oil habit if we like it or not. I see that day of reckoning coming in the next 20 years, possibly sooner as oil consumption is rising and it's unclear if production has peaked. Did you hear that Gov. Schwartzenger kicked off the Cali Hydrogen Highway today. :-) That's a move in the right direction.
