During the late 1970's the 1980's and early 1990's we armed Bin laden Iraq and the Taliban. Both US political parties were involved; actually Bush jr. sent 43 million to the Taliban in early 2001. The GOP was the party mostly in bed with Iraq; both parties helped Bin laden and the taliban at various times with more funds coming from when the GOP was in power. All direct help to Bin laden ceased over 10 years ago, but help to Taliban filtered through to Bin Laden for sure.................. blowback with an afterburner.
