Good post Eveline very interesting.
With all the negative comments towards the Big Kahuna Cowpland these people must think Cowpland has sold all his shares when it was at $24 CDN. I haven't check recently but I think he still owns a pile of shares. Does anybody really think he doesn't want to make good EPS. He is going up againt a dominate force MS who is well established in the market place. I think he is trying different tactics to try and gain more market share. Obviously with his all out Java attack doesn't appear that it's ready for prime time so he is decided to bridge the old with the new until such time the new is ready for prime time.

MS FUD is a very powerful force so it takes time to prove a product unless MS developed it then everybody would believe in it. Look how everybody lined up for Win95 it was a dog go figure.Start me up -reboot me up -reload me up something like that.

Corel aims for enterprise with Java groupware

The Canadian press reported earlier today that Corel, in a conference call with analysts, signaled it was moving away from Java development. Cowpland strongly denied this. "The press reports completely misinterpreted what we're doing," he said. "We're evolving the effort on Java into deliverables much quicker than normal. We're accelerating it, not dropping it."

And in the mean time Corel will continue to develop Java. And IMHO this is the future. Also Sunday is still on, Corel shares are still undervalued my good buddy Robert. Be there be square.
