You condemn Arabs for their intolerance of Jews yet your own intolerance of Arabs is so painfully obvious.
I think the Arab interaction with modernity has been hightly dysfunctional. There's a lot of evidence for that, and many Arab writers saying so, not just Westerners.
HOWEVER, I am never "intolerant" of Arabs in the fashion that very large segments of Arabia are intolerant of Israelis, to wit, thinking that it is an abomination that any piece of land that was once Arab should become non-Arab, that the non-Arabs all deserve to be killed en masse, or driven out. Maybe a few could be left as oppressed dhimmis, according to the will of Allah. Not only thinking this, but trying to commit mass murder of Jews and teaching their kids that there is no higher aim in life than murdering Jews for Allah.
You have never seen that kind of "intolerance" from me, nor will you. I advocate the Arabs becoming modern people and to stop accepting the kleptocrat dictators they have ruling them, and above all, to stop blaming everybody but their own selves for their problems.
only negotiation and compromise will bring a peaceful solution
Were you around in the year 2000? Negotations and compromise got a terror war in response. There does have to be a desire for a compromise solution on BOTH sides of the table, you know. Arafat never wanted any kind of Palestine that had to be next to Israel instead of replacing Israel. Didn't the PLO FM just admit that the PLO charter calling for the destruction of Israel had never been changed? Of course Arafat promised it, just as he promised to stop terror and end incitment.
Why do I have a feeling that you would have been a big Chamberlain supporter in 1938? Chamberlain also believed that "only negotiation and compromise will bring a peaceful solution". Unfortunately for him, Hitler wasn't interested in peaceful solutions.
Can you even admit that in that case, it wasn't Chamberlain's fault? |
