the outlook was one that the two people were going to merge or eventually be entitled to all services that regular Israelis were getting

Excuse me? Israel was founded as a JEWISH state and it has always stayed one, despite an Arab minority they couldn't kick out in the end. When was there EVER that outlook where Palestinians and Israelis going to "merge"?

You say PA suffer because of the occupation, that's not entirely correct

"Palestinian Authority"? Perhaps not. Palestinians, on the other hand, do suffer because of the occupation, as is evident to the entire world that does not have some kind of religious reason for supporting Israel at all costs.

the borders started closing down and the Palestinians were starting to lose jobs in Israel. So, I'd say terrorism came first.

History didn't start there, you know. Take a look at this, written by a Jewish group.

Do try to read it all. It is very interesting.

You say unconditional support for Israel, tell me, Egypt gets the second amount of aid after Israel, what are its conditions?

First and foremost, "unconditional support" is not just the financial aid, and you know it. Whenever UN tries to pass a resolution to warn or condemn Israel against its acts that go against international law, what happens? US vetoes it. Just like it did recently when US wanted to condemn Israel's extrajudicial assassinations.

As for financial aid:

Egypt's financial aid was part of the peace deal, and that is the only support they get from the US. Not even a friendly word or a cuddle, just the annual financial aid agreed on.

Israel gets USD 3.3 bn per year, which is ONE THIRD of total US foreign aid budget. This is a country of 6.3 mn people, by the way, compared to Egypt's population of 68 mn people.

Let's get some perspective - Paris, with its suburbs, has about 10 mn people. London has 7 mn people. Oh the things a place like London could do with USD 3.3 bn financial aid per year! :-)

So what does Israel do with all this money? Start new businesses, clean the streets better, or just divide it among its couple of million inhabitants? Nope. They turn back to the US and buy fighter jets and missiles to assassinate Palestinians, tanks to roam in Palestinian cities, and Caterpillar heavy machinery to demolish Palestinian homes.

Do you think this relationship is lost on the people who see these "Made In USA" machinery every day?

Oh and the cost to US taxpayer... Not a subject US talks about often:
