I wonder if the point this editor brings up isn't that some bloggers, mass emailers and others *do* manipulate facts and perpetuate ideologies that are harmful to some and distasteful to most of us. We've seen evidence of some of that linked from other sources on this thread. I don't know to whom, specifically, he is referring, but the Internet exposes all of us to enormous amounts of information that leads to scepticism which leads to more fact finding that eventually exposes reality.

It's a good thing.
