You implied Cleland fell on a friendly grenade, as if he's no hero. Therefore you slander him, demean him, make him sound ridiculous, like a fool. When your party was the one who ran the most sleazy ads in history in 2002, implying that Cleland was in cahoots with Bin Lauden and Saddam. Why? Because Cleland, who supported Homeland Security before the White House did, wanted a few pro-corporate anti-worker provisions stripped from the White House plan, that is that Homeland Security can deny union rights whenever they please. That in theri view makes Cleland in league with our enemies, a traitor and no hero.

This is the same kind of dishonest slime their using against Kerry and that they used against John McCain. It stinks. Especially when not a single rightwinger leader ever served in combat.
