<<< I don't really think Bush is behind investigations by the Boston Globe, Washington Post, and Village Voice, do you?

It's one of those blood-in-the-water things. Reporters are like sharks, they just can't help themselves.>>>

I hope they do a good job. That is their duty to find out wrong doing. We do not want to know after the fact that he faked shrapnel to cut short his tour of duty. Or, that his commanders made up stories about his saving lives during combat and have to take back the medals that were given to him. Or, they scrubbed his records.

It is important that our Commander in Chief have unquestioned integrity so that if he had to - he could order other people's children into combat without raising unwarranted concern.

I blame Bill Clinton entirely for the situation that we are in now. He lowered our standards completely. Prior to Clinton, Bush I, and even Jimmy Carter, no one questioned their military service. There was nothing to question. You will notice how reluctant Bush I was in using military force. I think he faced some real combat situations.
