I assume that, unless, some huge negative pops out soon, the Bush people will drop this one.

Neither principal wanted this. The "Uncle West" bunch are scouring for negatives, but I don't think there is enough "there" there. I think the interesting part of this whole affair is that nobody seems to learn that you should get this out up front. If you wait, you look bad.

OTOH, Kerry's antiwar activity will be examined. You haven't been around enough to follow my quixotic, "It's 1971, Kansas City!" crusade. TWT if this causes Kerry a problem. His coverup of his participation in a meeting there where the killing US Senators was discussed is pretty well established. But the main media has only semi-covered it.

He claimed he was not at the meeting until last month, when it was revealed that undercover FBI informers reported at the time that he was there. He now says that he must have been, but "doesn't remember it."

The Boston Globe and the Kansas City Star covered this aspect, the Times and the LA Times skirted it.
